Ages: Adult, Prerequisites: None, Requirements: Must be able to swim.
For beginners. No prerequisites, just an interest in learning a new, exciting sport and exploring Duxbury Bay from a rowing shell. Students will learn the fundamentals of sculling (2 oars per person) in wide, durable, recreational training boats. Safely learn basic rigging, stroke fundamentals, and balance in an enjoyable team atmosphere. Students will also take turns being the captain of the ship, learning basic steering and the commands of the coxswain or take turns observing from the coach’s launch.
